Love is just a landline away in Jess Barbagallo’s new play ANALOG INTIMACY. A local Minneapolis cast has been assembled to perform the first public reading of ANALOG INTIMACY, an off-beat reflection on aging and love.

Jess Barbagallo is an NYC-based writer/director/performer who has toured internationally and domestically with Tania Bruguera, Big Dance Theater, the Builders Association, and Half Straddle, and is a frequent collaborator of artist Andrea Geyer. Playwriting credits: Melissa, So Far (Andy’s Playhouse), My Old Man (and Other Stories) (Dixon Place), Sentence Fetish (The Brick), Karen Davis Does …, Good Year for Hunters (The Ohio Theatre), Saturn Nights (Ontological-Hysteric), and Grey-Eyed Dogs (Dixon Place). His critical writing has been published by Howlround, Bomb Blog, New York Live Arts Blog, Brooklyn Rail and 53rd State Press. In 2015, Jess participated in a think tank on persona at the New Museum and was a featured speaker at Half Straddle’s 2017 lecture series Here We Go, Part 2 hosted by The Kitchen. Jess has taught theater and writing at Duke University, Brooklyn College, New York University, and The O’Neill Center.
